JAN 2005:
- The TI-99/4A Game Shelf website
is created by Walid Maalouli on January 14th. It is the first website
dedicated to showcasing the generally unheralded efforts of talented
game programmers for the TI-99/4A. The site provides a gallery of
interesting games with images of the opening screen as well as an
in-play snapshot, along with a brief review tested on a real TI 99/4A
system. Hardware requirements are also listed and download links
provided.
- Mike Dudeck creates the Tex*In Treasures
on-line retail store for TI-99/4A products on January 16, 2005. The
website is a new age extension to the Tex*In Treasures retail outlet
that Mr. Dudeck had formerly advertised in MICROpendium magazine.

- Jim Uzzell dies on October 15th,
leaving a software legacy that is envious in any community, and more
than
likely unmatched in the Myarc Geneve 9640 world. Doing business as DDI
Software, he provided some of the best and probably the most Myarc
Advanced
BASIC products available for the Geneve computer. His efforts were good
enough
to earn Mr. Uzzell two Jim Peterson Memorial Achievement Award
nominations,
first in 1998 and then again in 2000, along with the affectionate title
of
“current world authority” on the Geneve’s Advanced BASIC.
Jim was also a former member of the Houston,
TX User Group while DDI Software was headquartered in Austin, TX. and
frequent
contributor to MICROpendium magazine.Jim released his first Myarc
Geneve products in 1989 with the announcement of Appointment Scheduler
and Artist
Utility. MYBASE followed in 1990 and then a seemingly continuous stream
of
Geneve products over the next 10 years, including CIA, DDI-DISM,
DDI-ICON,
DDI-WORD, GRABBER, MYARK, MYBANDIT, MYBASIC 4.0, MYBINGO, MYFX,
MYGAMMON,
MYGOLF, MYMENU2+, MYPLAN, MYPOKER, MYSAM, MYSTRIKE, MYSIDEPRINTer,
MYWHEEL,
MYAHTZEE.
