Timeline 99 -- 2012

JAN 2012: 

FEB 2012:   On February 9th, 2012 Matthew Haggerty announces the pre-order availability of his F18A Video card for use with the TMS9918A Video chip.  The price is $98.00 U.S. According to the Haggerty website, "F18A stands for “FPGA TMS9918A” (hence the project’s title) and will be 100% hardware and pin compatible replacement for a TMS9918A VDP (video display processor)." The TMS9918A is the Video Display Processor in the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Home Computer. In addition to being the VDP for the TI-99/4A, the TMS9918A was used by ColecoVision, MSX1, Tomy  Tutor, SpectraVision and SpectraVision 128.

MAR 2012:  Michael Zapf releases TIImageTool version 1.1 which now supports reading and writing CHD v5 hard disk images. 

   - MICROpendium.com, a website created as a tribute to John Koloen and Laura Burns, and the 15 plus years they produced MICROpendium magazine, is taken over by Cory Klatt.

APR 2012:  Randall D (Matt) Matthews passes away on April 22, 2012.
  • Bill Gaskill  provides a template for the Inventory Management/Personal Record Keeping module that includes all known cartrdges.
  • Glenn Bernasek posts the 2012 Jim Peterson Achievement Awards.
